However, 20 phone calls and 10 messages later I decided to go for brutal honesty. It seems to have worked as she hasn't called for at least 12 hours! Although when I mentioned that I was leaving in a month she came out with: no me importa la distancia, lo que me importa es el amor. No te imaginas lo que siento por ti. Te amo. Translation: Distance doesn't matter, love is what's important. You can't imagine what I feel for you. I love you. Anyway, I told her that distance DOES matter and that I've pretty much been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Thanks, but no thanks. I didn’t even think of that..
